SAN DIEGO - John Albert Gardner III - following an emotional outpouring by the parents of his young victims - was sentenced May 14 to life in prison, without the possibility of parole.
Last month, Gardner, 31, pleaded guilty to raping and murdering Amber Dubois, 14, and Chelsea King, 17, and for the assault of jogger Candice Moncayo, 22, who was able to escape from him.
