A court in British Columbia Friday denied Lions Gate Entertainment's effort to use a poison pill to prevent a hostile takeover by investor Carl Icahn. The billionaire, who already owns 18 percent of the Santa Monica-based studio that's registered in Vancouver, extended his $7-per-share offer to stockholders through Monday.
