State Supreme Court Poised To Forgive Judge's Past

On Thursday the California Supreme Court seemed ready to forgive former Judge Norman Gordon for his failure to come clean about past discipline before he agreed to arbitrate a dispute between a woman and her plastic surgeon.

Sexual harassment of women on his staff drew then-Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Norman Gordon a public rebuke from the California Supreme Court in 1996.

But on Thursday, the high court seemed ready to forgive Gordon - at least for his failure to come clean about the discipline before he agreed to arbitrate a dispute between a woman and her plastic surgeon.
