Report: Epidemic of Guard Brutality in Los Angeles Jail

Inmates at Los Angeles County's main jail for men are routinely subject to savage beatings - often at the hands of the facilities' guards, according to the American Civil Liberties Union of Southern California.

LOS ANGELES - Inmates at Los Angeles County's main jail for men are routinely subject to savage beatings - often at the hands of the facilities' guards, according to a report released by the American Civil Liberties Union of Southern California.

The report, released Wednesday, was based on interviews with inmates, statements from their relatives and other sources.
