Santa Cruz County Superior Court is publicly talking about laying off a big chunk of its workforce this summer.
The court may cut 20 percent of its staff, or 34 employees, according to officials with the Service Employees International Union, who are in talks with court administrators. The remaining employees may be asked to take 16 furlough days, as they had to do this...
