WASHINGTON - Despite the window of opportunity for President Barack Obama to appoint a strong liberal to the Supreme Court ahead of the looming midterm elections, political analysts predict he will tap a safe, easily confirmable nominee to replace the retiring Justice John Paul Stevens.
