Group Against Death Penalty Lauds Heroes
LOS ANGELES - Mexican President Vicente Fox and former Illinois Gov. George Ryan were honored Tuesday night in Beverly Hills for their work against the death penalty.
Death Penalty Focus, a California anti-capital-punishment group led by actor Mike Farrell, honored Fox for his work on behalf of Mexican nationals and Ryan for emptying Illinois' death row.
