The guest column "Put the Demurrer Out to Pasture?" (Feb. 4) is poorly taken. We need and rely on the demurrer now more than ever, especially in this budget-crisis-driven court environment. Only a plaintiffs-side attorney would suggest such an idea, to make his legal practice easier and tilt the playing field in his favor.
