Fantex plans to go ahead on sports performance-tied IPO

San Francisco-based marketing firm Fantex Inc. said Tuesday it plans to move ahead with an initial public offering of stock tied to the performance and brand value of National Football League tight end Vernon Davis, who plays for the San Francisco Forty Niners.
