State agency sued for records of asbestos contamination from dam

An environmental group has sued to compel the state Department of Water Resources to turn over documents and correspondence related to asbestos contamination from the damaged Oroville Dam spillway.

SACRAMENTO — An environmental group has sued to compel the state Department of Water Resources to turn over documents and correspondence related to asbestos contamination from the damaged Oroville Dam spillway.

The complaint, filed Tuesday, followed weeks of back and forth between the agency and AquAlliance, a Chico-based group.
