Jury Sides With Cisco on Patent Infringement
SAN FRANCISCO - It took a San Francisco jury three hours to decide Cisco Systems had not infringed on a rival's patent. The case, decided Tuesday in U.S. District Court, ended six years of litigation over an Internet communication patent held by StorageTek, a Colorado data management company. At one point, StorageTek claimed billions of dollars in damages from Cisco, a San Jose computer networking company.
