Child of Forcibly-Sterilized May Merit Asylum
SAN FRANCISCO - The 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals ruled Thursday that a Chinese woman may qualify for political asylum in the U.S. because she endured hardships as a child when the government forcibly sterilized her father for having too many children.
