Justices Reinstate Book-Cooking Suit
LOS ANGELES - An appellate panel on Monday reinstated an investors' lawsuit accusing BDO Seidman, the nation's sixth-largest accounting firm, of cooking the books for a computer company.
"With few exceptions the court erred in dismissing the complaint at the pleading stage," Division 8 of the 2nd District Court of Appeal found in a published opinion.
