SEC chair vows more disclosure

The SEC will move full-speed ahead in 2016 with reviewing the effectiveness of its disclosure requirements for public companies.

CORONADO - The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission will move full-speed ahead this year with reviewing the effectiveness of its disclosure requirements for public companies, Chairwoman Mary Jo White told securities lawyers Tuesday.

White, who spoke at Northwestern University School of Law's annual Securities Regulation Institute, said disclosures about foreign taxes will be an area of focus.<...
