Silicon Valley medical diagnostics company purchased with aid from Davis Polk

Santa Clara-based Affymetrix Inc., a provider of cellular and genetic diagnostic products, has agreed to $1.3 billion sale to Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. with guidance from a Davis Polk & Wardell LLP team in Menlo Park.

Santa Clara-based Affymetrix Inc., a provider of cellular and genetic diagnostic products, has agreed to a $1.3 billion sale to Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. with guidance from Davis Polk & Wardell LLP. Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz advised Thermo Fisher.

Partner Sarah K. Solum headed the Davis Polk team in Menlo Park.
