Orexigen Therapeutics Inc., a La Jolla obesity-focused pharmaceutical company, named Thomas P. Lynch general counsel, executive vice president and secretary late last week.

Orexigen Therapeutics Inc., a La Jolla obesity-focused pharmaceutical company, named Thomas P. Lynch general counsel, executive vice president and secretary late last week.

Lynch, who worked at Novartis AG in Switzerland and for its subsidiary Alcon Laboratories Inc. near Dallas, inherits the legal department from acting general counsel Christopher D. Hazuka.
