Legal industry posts substantial employment gains nationwide last year

The upswing in legal jobs is the first in three years, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

The legal industry posted substantial employment gains nationwide last year, the first annual upswing in three years, according to data released Friday by the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

The industry brought on 8,000 employees in 2015, compared to losses of 2,700 in 2014 and 8,000 the year before, according to seasonally adjusted data from the agency. The strongest gains...
