9th Circuit judge to take senior status in December

Judge Richard R. Clifton of the 9th U.S. Court of Appeals will take senior status at the end of the year.

Judge Richard R. Clifton of the 9th U.S. Court of Appeals will take senior status at the end of the year.

Clifton has served on the court since 2002. He will officially retire Dec. 31.

President George W. Bush nominated Clifton on Sept. 4, 2001, to fill the spot vacated by Judge Cynthia Holcomb. .
