Lyft Inc. reigns in a $1 billion Series F funding round with guidance from Wilson Sonsini

General Motors led the Series F round in a strategic move to build self-driving car partnership with Lyft

Ride-hailing company Lyft Inc.got a $1 billion Series F funding round, announced Monday with guidance from Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati PC.

The latest cash infusion, led by General Motors Co. in a strategic move to bolster plans of developing self-driving cars, props the San Francisco company up to a $5.5 billion valuation. GM kicked in $500 million in the round.
