Government hits VW with Clean Air Act suit that is expected to be tried in San Francisco

U.S. Department of Justice lawyers opened a new front in the Volkswagen legal fray Monday, filing a lawsuit that will likely make its way to San Francisco federal court to join more than 500 consumer lawsuits stemming from the automaker's reputed scheme to skirt emission control regulations.
