Hicks Expects to Bring 'Fresh Eyes' to Bar Board

The newest member of the State Bar Board of Governors said he was appointed in hopes he would "bring a fresh kind of eyes to the work." Joe Hicks, the executive director of the Los Angeles City Human Relations Commission, was named as a public member of the bar board Thursday by Speaker of the Assembly Antonio R. Villaraigosa, D-Los Angeles.
