Panel Backs Rights for Out-of-State House Counsel
SACRAMENTO - A task force on the multi-jurisdictional practice of law tentatively recommended Wednesday that in-house counsel be allowed to perform legal services in California without taking the State Bar exam. But the group stopped short of backing the notion of allowing lawyers from other states to freely practice here in return for similar access.
