SAN JOSE - Santa Clara County Superior Court Judge Randolf Rice has regained consciousness and was able to respond to a verbal command to move his toes, his domestic partner said Thursday.
Rice, 57, had been in a medically-induced coma since Oct. 30, when he fell from a ladder outside his San Jose home and sustained a serious head injury, according to partner Klaus Merrell....
