Asian Pacific American Bar Association Marks 13th Anniversary
The Asian Pacific American Bar Association of Los Angeles County, along with 300 of its closest friends, celebrated its 13th anniversary on March 11 at the Los Angeles Athletic Club. To commemorate over a decade of service, the association welcomed a new board of governors, sworn in by Orange County Superior Court Judge Richard Lee. It also honored those who have served the legal community, including California labor commissioner and the litigation director of the Asian Pacific American Legal Center Julie Su with the Public Service Award, and second-year Southwestern School of Law student Kathy Khommarath with the Public Interest Fellowship. The Korean American Bar Association softball team also stepped up to accept congratulations on winning the association's annual softball tournament.
