Hollywood Raises $1.5 Million for Alliance for Children’s Rights
The entertainment and legal industries converged on the Beverly Hilton Hotel last week to honor Ziffren Brittenham LLP partner Skip Brittenham, his wife Heather Thomas, and Linda Johnson Rice, publisher of Ebony and Jet magazines. The reception and dinner, hosted by Alliance for Children’s Rights and emceed by comedian Drew Carey, highlighted the honorees’ contributions toward improving education, health care and child welfare. The event raised $1.5 million for the alliance, which offers free legal services for abused and impoverished children.
