Legal industry sees national decline in January

Legal job numbers took a major hit last month, losing more than 13,000 positions nationwide over the new year, according to employment data released Friday by the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

Legal job numbers took a major hit last month, losing more than 13,000 positions nationwide over the new year, according to employment data released Friday by the Bureau of Labor Statistics.


The national legal industry in January accounted for 1,111,100 jobs, a drastic decrease from the previous month, when the legal industry made up 1,124,700 jobs.
