State Bar appoints new committee to rewrite lawyer ethics rules
The state Supreme Court last fall told the bar to try once more to rewrite California's existing professional conduct rules to align more closely to the American Bar Association model rules.

The yearslong project to rewrite California's lawyer ethics rules has begun again with the appointment of a second special commission to take on the massive task.
The State Bar announced that President Craig Holden has named 18 members to the new Commission for the Revision of the Rules of Professional Conduct, plus five nonvoting advisers. Leading the group is 2nd District Court of Appeal ...
