SAN FRANCISCO - James J. McBride, a longtime judge on the San Francisco County Superior Court bench, will retire in about two weeks, he announced Thursday.
McBride, once the court's presiding judge, said in a prepared statement that it's "time to move on and make room for new blood" after 21 years on the bench.
