Former Anaheim city attorney says her firing was retaliatory

The Anaheim City Council retaliated against Cristina Talley, its former city attorney, for saying she thought courts would find the city's election system violated Hispanic voting rights, her lawyers argued in documents filed Tuesday.

The Anaheim City Council retaliated against Cristina Talley, its former city attorney, for saying she thought courts would find the city's election system violated Hispanic voting rights, her lawyers argued in court documents filed late Monday.


Talley, who said she was forced to resign as city attorney in early 2013, is suing for discrimination based on her age, ethnic identity and gender.
