SACRAMENTO - State courts face more scrutiny from legislators after an audit accused the judicial branch of mismanagement and poor spending practices.
"We still have a fiduciary responsibility, and a fiscal responsibility to the taxpayers," said Assembly Speaker Toni Atkins, D-San Diego. Auditors have "come out with some things that we really need to take a look at."
