JAMS arbitrator and former appellate judge Richard C. Neal died Thursday from cancer. He was 67.

Retired Court of Appeal Justice Richard C. Neal died Thursday after battling cancer. He was 67.


For the last 13 years, Neal was a highly sought-after arbitrator, mediator and neutral for JAMS.


Neal began his judicial career in 1992, when Gov. Pete Wilson named him to the Los Angeles County Superior Court. Five years later, in 1997, Wilson appointed him to the 2nd District Court of Appeal. H...
