Watchdog admonishes San Mateo judge for DUI

Judge Joseph C. Scott received a public admonishment from the Commission on Judicial Performance following his September conviction for drunken driving.

The state judicial watchdog panel publicly admonished a San Mateo County Superior Court judge Tuesday for drunken driving.


In a brief statement, the Commission on Judicial Performance said it admonished Judge Joseph C. Scott because his conviction "evidences a serious disregard of the principles of personal and official conduct embodied in the California Code of Judicial Ethics."
