Energy drink company settles with local prosecutors

Neurobrands LLC paid $500,000 in civil penalties to LA and Santa Monica, stopping just short of calling it a nuisance suit.

A Los Angeles beverage company criticized local prosecutors for jumping into the grocery store product labeling fray, but agreed to pay $500,000 in civil penalties to resolve false advertising claims it says the government has been threatening to file for years.
