Judge dismisses aggravated mayhem charges in medical insurance fraud case

A Los Angeles Superior Court judge dismissed 21 counts of aggravated mayhem brought against the majority of defendants in an alleged medical insurance fraud scheme this week, after defense attorneys claimed prosecutors mishandled the grand jury indictment and went too far in their criminal charges.
