Seven Lawyers File for 5 Seats On Bar Board
Only a handful of California lawyers are running for a seat on the Board of Governors of the troubled State Bar next year. Seven lawyers filed for five open seats on the board by Tuesday's deadline, producing only two contested elections, both in Southern California. Three of the candidates were unopposed and so are "deemed elected" to posts they sought.
