Time for Big Tobacco to Cough Up

Ellis In a class-action lawsuit against the tobacco industry, a Florida jury last Wednesday found cigarettes "defective and unreasonably dangerous" and said tobacco companies made "false or misleading statements," concealed material information, conspired to "misrepresent information relating the health effects of cigarette smoking" and acted with "reckless disregard" by making a product that causes or contributes to 20 diseases.
