Former Judge Spent 27 Years in Merchant Marine

LOS ANGELES - Services have taken place for Thomas Patterson, a retired attorney and former Los Angeles Municipal Court judge. Patterson, who served at the Citrus Courthouse in West Covina from 1975 to 1981, died June 23 at a rehabilitation center in Corvallis, Ore., of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. He was 86.
