Hometown Judge Connects Well, Attorneys Say

SAN JOSE - While in high school during the Vietnam War, Edward J. Davila met with his counselor, who told him that he - like other Hispanics in his class - "would make a good soldier." He signed him up for shop classes to prepare him for a military life.
