Court Preserves Nonbiological Parent and Child Relationship

June 6, 2002), the California Supreme Court has ruled that, when a man seeks parental rights, clear and convincing evidence that he is not the biological father does not necessarily rebut the presumption that a man who receives a child into his home and openly holds the child out as his natural child is the natural father.
