Putting Positive Spin on Complex Transaction

Allergan Inc. hired partner Cary Hyden to handle its spinoff of Advanced Medical Optics Inc. The most recent aspect of this spinoff included a $200 million note offering and a $135 million credit facility. At the same time, 23 of Allergan's 60 subsidiaries had to be restructured in preparation for the spinoff.
