A New World for Ex-Public Attorney

OAKLAND - Alameda Superior Court Judge Alice Vilardi is the first to admit that nothing in her 30-year legal career had prepared her for her current bench assignment. The longtime Hayward city attorney and former general counsel of the East Bay Municipal Utility District now is in charge of Alameda County's drug court and welfare fraud calendar.
