SAN FRANCISCO - Only in San Francisco would anyone accuse a judicial candidate of pretending to be gay. That was the rumor posted on a local political chat board earlier this year. Gail Dekreon, a solo criminal defense attorney running for judge, stood accused of being a "lesbian of convenience," unfairly courting endorsements by feigning homosexuality.
