Head for the Hills

The above well-known advertising slogan of Hills Bros. Coffee was for a long time much more appropriate than most people realized. The company was headquartered in San Francisco, a city as famous for its hills as for the cable cars that traverse them.

Of course, the headquarters and plant were located not in the hills but in the flattest part of the city, on the landfill that makes up most of what used to be a working waterfront.
