Port moves forward on expansion plans

Oakland -- The Port of Oakland and Merriwether & Williams Insurance Services launched a Surety Bond Program for local women and minority-owned businesses seeking to participate in the Port's $1.4 billion capital improvement campaign.

Oakland -- The Port of Oakland and Merriwether & Williams Insurance Services launched a Surety Bond Program for local women and minority-owned businesses seeking to participate in the Port's $1.4 billion capital improvement campaign.
The program will provide partial bond guarantees, funds control services and financial statement preparation to enable some businesses to qualify for their first bond and others to increase their bonding capacity.
