Lawyer Must Pay Back Clients or Go to Prison
LOS ANGELES - A Los Angeles attorney Tuesday pleaded guilty to 12 felony counts stemming from accusations he bilked clients out of $310,000 in settlement funds, mostly from personal injury cases.
Arden Silverman, 45, pleaded guilty before Los Angeles Superior Court Judge William F. Fahey to eight counts of embezzlement and four counts of forgery.
