Jury Convicts Six of Smuggling Aliens
LOS ANGELES - A federal jury Wednesday found six Ukranian nationals guilty of operating an international smuggling ring that brought undocumented aliens into the United States through Mexico and sold several women into prostitution.
U.S. District Judge Robert M. Takasugi ordered the five-woman, seven-man jury to continue deliberations on a seventh defendant.
