COMPASS POINTS TO FULL MENU WITH ACQUISITION
Compass Group will acquire Bon Apptit Management Co. Inc. The cash deal is worth more than $155 million and was announced March 6. Chertsey, England-based Compass provides catering and concession services to airports, hotels, schools and rest areas around the world. Its customers include American Express Co., International Business Machines Corp. and ChevronTexaco Corp. It also operates more than 5,000 restaurants, including Upper Crust and some Burger King and T.G.I. Friday restaurants.
