Bon Voyage Intertainment, Franchise Cast For Now

There is a great shot in the 1952 Billy Wilder film "The Big Carnival" (aka "Ace in the Hole"). It's after the buried miner, who's been betrayed by the sleazy newspaper reporter played by Kirk Douglas, finally kicks the bucket. The thousands of spectators who have gathered to join in the excitement of the "saving" of the trapped miner have gone on to other things, and the Douglas character can only watch as the last of the TV trucks leaves in a cloud of dust.
