Gray Cary: San Diego's Mitokor Plans Purchase of Drug Company

MitoKor Inc., a biotech company, is buying Apollo BioPharmaceutics Inc. The value of the stock deal has not been disclosed. San Diego's MitoKor focuses on the commercial applications of mitochondrial science in diagnosing and treating Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease and noninsulin-dependent diabetes. The company is collaborating with Pfizer Inc. in developing therapeutics for neurodegenerative diseases.
