Wilson Sonsini: Polycom Offers Cash and Stock for East Coast Rival
Polycom Inc. will acquire PictureTel Corp. for $362 million in cash and stock. Milpitas-based Polycom manufactures and markets voice and video communications products. It makes ViewStation, an interactive videoconferencing system. It also makes the NetEngine line of voice and data access devices for digital subscriber line networks.
